NJ fines DuPont $750K for violations at Del. plant

DOVER, Del. (AP) - The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection has fined DuPont $750,000 Protection for violations of safety and environmental standards at a facility just across the Delaware Memorial Bridge.

WDEL reports (http://bit.ly/rU7mbz) that the more than 60 violations involve hazardous substances being improperly handled and discharged at its Chambers Works facility in Salem County, Del.

DuPont must also submit a plan to upgrade chemical handling procedures at the facility.
