Late heroics lift Lincoln women to victory

JOPLIN — Freddie Sims did it again.

The junior guard came up big in the final seconds for the second straight game and the Lincoln women’s team escaped with a 67-66 victory over Missouri Southern on Saturday afternoon.

Sims won the game on a jumper with four seconds left, capping a late Lincoln rally. The Blue Tigers trailed by seven points with less than five minutes to play and later trailed by four with less than 30 seconds left.
