This time of year, children seem to have a renewed interest in learning about Jesus, observed Rene Miserez, young youth director at Central United Church of Christ.
Many children attending Central have not grown up in a church setting. So the church this year has concentrated on details of various characters in the birth story of Jesus.
One way to help with that has been involvement in the annual children's Christmas program.
