Santa is coming to Jefferson City area libraries

It's the busy season for Santa Claus. But despite his hectic schedule, the jolly old guy has managed to set aside times to be at two area libraries.

Santa will be at the Missouri River Regional Library (MRRL) in Jefferson City on Thursday and Friday to take pictures with children and listen to their Christmas wishes. On Dec. 15, he will stop by the Osage County Library in Linn for story time and to visit with preschoolers.

Santa's visit to the library in Jefferson City is part of the annual pictures with Santa, sponsored by the Friends of the Missouri River Regional Library. It will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday and from 9-11 a.m. and 12-2 p.m. Friday.

Individual children or groups can pose with Santa, Cost of the pictures is $3 for one picture, $5 for two pictures and $10 for four pictures. For $5 more, a digital image can be e-mailed. Pictures will be available shortly after the photo is taken.

All proceeds go to the MRRL's Friends of the Library, whose mission is to support and promote the library.
