JC man sentenced for business break-in

Cole County Judge Dan Green recently sentenced a Jefferson City man to 120 days of shock detention in prison after he pleaded guilty to charges in connection with a break-in at a business in September.

According to court documents, Casey McKinney, 30, 108 Hunters Run, was charged with felony stealing and resisting arrest.

A Jefferson City Police Department probable cause statement shows he broke into Meyer Electric, 3513 N. Ten Mile Drive, by crawling under a fence and remaining on the property until he took a spool of electrical cable, valued at approximately $1,000.
