Prior to the season, Jefferson City volleyball coach Curt Yaeger was more than willing to talk about his team’s serving, but had little to say about the Lady Jays’ blocking.
After the Lady Jays’ season-opening win over Rock Bridge, both of those aspects looked equally good.
The Lady Jays overcame some early jitters in the opening game to pull away from the Bruins, then led throughout the second while posting a 25-15, 25-11 win at Fleming Fieldhouse.
