Your Opinion: We all must work together

Dear Editor:

I'm not the smartest or the most educated person writing to the editor. Others are so much more learned then I. But I just wanted to share some thoughts that my granddad call "horse sense."

If you are in debt and on the verge of defaulting, quit spending. If people are losing their homes, because they have no jobs, it's not the time to take more money from them. When food banks all over the country are running out of food, you might realize that all the government programs are not working or we would not need these programs in the first place.

We have a government of the incumbent for the incumbent and by the incumbent, not the people. Obama/Bush and Congress have only caused more pain and hurt in this nation. We have a jobs tzar that is sending thousands of our jobs to China. We have regulations that prevent oil and coal production in the U.S. and send billions of dollars to socalled Third World countries to help them produce coal and oil.

So let's not give quotes and references and statistics. Let's not blame each other and call names. Let us vote for men and women that will do the hard job even if it hurts us and their re-election.

Do we really care if the common sense answers come from Democrats or Republicans. If we the people don't work as one we will go down blaming each other and the U.S. will no longer be great.

You will be telling your grandchildren "What it use to be like to live in America."
