Rash of burglaries in Osage County

The Osage County Sheriff’s Department is asking the public for help in solving a rash of recent burglaries in the county.

Sheriff Carl Fowler said the break-ins — some forced, others not — have taken place over the last 2 1/2 weeks, mostly during the day.

Chief Deputy Rob Relford said more than six homes have been burglarized.

Hmmm.. I think the same thing happened a year ago about the time Linn Tech students came to town.

In 2 1/2 weeks and over 6 breakins???? Really??? I live in Osage county and was broke into a month ago! At that time I knew of three breakins that same week and hear of at least two- three more each week. It's crazy and they are doing absolutely NOTHING about it! During the day, weekends, and at night when people are home. Why would they be sugar coating this and just now acting like it might be a problem. It's been going on long enough. The thieves are not going to stop. I heard of two more already this week! Put your coffee cups down and get busy!
