7 from area Red Cross deployed to East Coast

Seven volunteers from the Capital Area Chapter of the American Red Cross are deployed to areas impacted by Hurricane Irene.

Both emergency response vehicles and their two, two-person crews are in Virginia. The crews include volunteers from Jefferson City, California, Columbia and Montgomery City.
