Despite small roster, Calvary prepping for volleyball opener

While there’s strength in numbers, the Calvary Lutheran volleyball team is hoping it’s strength in small numbers.

That’s because the Lady Lions, who open the season at 6 p.m. today at Tolton Catholic in Columbia, have just seven players on their roster.

And that number could drop to six today depending on the results of an MRI on a knee injury suffered by one of the players last week.
