Man arrested after two injured in Spectators shooting

A Jefferson City man has been charged in connection with a shooting early Thursday morning at a local bar.

According to court documents, Shane Hodges, 23, 5928 Business 50 West, was charged with three counts of second-degree assault, one count of armed criminal action, unlawful use of a weapon and receiving stolen property.

A Jefferson City Police Department probable cause statement showed officers were called to Spectators Sports Bar, 2103 Missouri Blvd., around 1 a.m.

Hodges had been asked to leave for causing a disturbance involving another bar patron.

Once outside the business, Hodges waited for the other patron and confronted him.

The two got into a physical confrontation during which Hodges pulled a handgun and fired three times.

The patron told police he knocked the gun out of Hodges hand and several individuals took Hodges to the ground, holding him until police arrived.
