The city is looking at taking $600,000 each year and putting it away for construction of a conference center, whenever and wherever that may happen.
The proposed 2012 budget for Jefferson City government includes saving that amount, in addition to the $600,000 the lodging tax is estimated to bring in, for the conference center, but the project itself has stalled from recent momentum.
