Dear Editor:
The government and politicians are not going to help this country’s economy!
If we want to get our economy and jobs back, we are going to have to do it ourselves. To do that, we will have to compete with the countries that took them away from us.
We need to start checking the labels on products we want to buy. We may have to spend a little more money on “Made in the USA” products, but that’s better than having our taxes raised and social programs cut, because of the revenue going to other countries. Right now the hardest part about buying American Made products, is finding American-made products.
If businesses are made aware that Americans want American-made products, more products will eventually be made here, more jobs will be created and our economy will get better — without higher taxes and cuts to social programs.
This is a great country, but we have come to rely on our government and politicians to make decisions for us, and that doesn’t work. We can do this ourselves, like Americans have always done.
I want my children and grandchildren to have a good life in this country. I really don’t want to see them emigrating away from here looking for a better life somewhere else.
So remember, “Check the label, buy Made in the USA!”
