University to host art exhibit

An array of fine arts and fine crafts created by general and juried members of The Best of Missouri Hands will be on display in the Mildred M. Cox Gallery in Kemper Center for the Arts at William Woods University in Fulton from Aug. 25 through Sept. 18.

"Celebrating Creativity," now in its sixth year, will feature a wide variety of art forms, including paintings, drawings, photographs, textiles, ceramics, jewelry and mixed media, all exhibiting the highest quality of artistic excellence and all created by Missouri artists and artisans.

The Cox Gallery is open to the public Mondays through Fridays 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays 1-4 p.m.

There will be a meet-the-artist reception on Sept. 18 from 2-4 p.m. in the gallery, which will be open to the public.

The Best of Missouri Hands is a non-profit organization dedicated to the development and recognition of Missouri's artists and artisans through education, interaction and encouragement.
