Robbery suspect hurt after jumping from roof

ST. LOUIS (AP) — A woman suspected of robbing a fast food restaurant has suffered serious injuries after jumping from a roof in an effort to avoid capture.

KSDK-TV (http://bit.ly/pou590 ) reports that the suspect pulled into a White Castle drive-thru window about 2:45 a.m. Monday and passed a note demanding money. The worker handed a locked cash drawer to the woman, who then drove away.

Police tracked the woman's car to a building. Authorities say she went to the third-floor roof and jumped as police were closing in.

The suspect's name has not been released pending formal charges. No one at the restaurant was injured during the hold-up.
