TULSA, Okla. (AP) - Candace Parker scored 23 points and the Los Angeles Sparks ran off 16 straight points to overcome a 15-point, second-half deficit and hand the Tulsa Shock their WNBA-record 18th consecutive loss with a 73-67 victory on Sunday night.

DeLisha Milton-Jones added 15 points and Kristi Toliver had 14 for the Sparks. WNBA career scoring leader Tina Thompson scored all of her eight points in the second half.

For the first 22 minutes of the game, Tulsa took advantage of the jet-lagged Sparks, who played in Minnesota on Saturday and flew to Tulsa on Sunday, building a 39-24 lead with 7:01 to play in the third stanza.

But the Sparks outscored the home team 38-20 over the final 17 minutes to post just their fourth road victory of the season.

Sheryl Swoopes scored 17 points and Jennifer Lacy chipped in 13 for the Shock (1-23), but neither player was much of a factor in the second half. Ivory Latta had 11.

The Atlanta Dream lost 17 in a row in their inaugural season of 2008.

Sun 96, Dream 87

UNCASVILLE, Conn. (AP) - Renee Montgomery had 21 points and seven assists, and Connecticut snapped a two-game losing streak by beating Atlanta.

Tina Charles and Asjha Jones had 18 points and nine rebounds apiece for the Sun (17-10), while Tan White scored 11 of her 13 points in the fourth quarter.

Kara Lawson added 11 for the Sun.

Angel McCoughtry led Atlanta (13-13) with 22 points. Erika DeSouza added 17 points and 10 rebounds.

Lindsey Harding had 14 points for the Dream and Arminite Price scored 12.

Fever 83, Mystics 51

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Katie Douglas had 15 points and five rebounds, and Indiana imporved to 4-0 against Washington this season.

Jessica Davenport scored 14 points and had five rebounds and Tamika Catchings scored 13 points with eight rebounds for the Fever, who lead the Eastern Conference by two games.

Crystal Langhorne scored 11 points and had seven rebounds and Jasmine Thomas scored 11 points for the Mystics, who extend their losing streak to five games.

The Fever allowed a season low point total of 51, limiting the Mystics to 35.2 percent shooting and forcing 19 turnovers.
