Lady Jays start tennis season at Blue Springs South

With a new season and a number of new faces on the roster, it seems only fitting the Jefferson City girls tennis team should have a new wrinkle to the schedule to open the season.

The Lady Jays kick off the season at 4 p.m. today at Blue Springs South, a team Jefferson City has been looking to add to its schedule.

“We’ve played them in tournaments, but not in a dual meet, over the past couple years and we’ve been pretty competitive with them,” Jefferson City coach John Blosser said.
