Feeding a need: Cynthia Quetsch felt a call to help

She doesn’t like to use the cliche, “I’ve always wanted to help people,” but for Cynthia Quetsch, it’s true.
After earning her master’s degree in social work and her law degree, Quetsch thought she would work in social work administration. Instead, Quetsch uses her free time and arguably her work time to help people.
She is legal counsel in the office of special education for the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, and co-chair of local missions efforts at First Presbyterian Church.
Quetsch is quick to deflect attention to others who volunteer.
