Official city budget discussions will begin Monday, with the new mayor presenting his proposals to the Jefferson City Council.
But with a new mayor, and several new council members, the budget process itself has been a little different this year.
Mayor Eric Struemph's proposal incorporates many of the ideas from various department directors on what they view as needed for the city.
