Nixon names attorney to Missouri Board of Curators

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) - Gov. Jay Nixon has appointed Jefferson City attorney Pamela Q. Henrickson to the University of Missouri Board of Curators.

Nixon's office said Friday that Henrickson will begin serving immediately on the board, which oversees the four-campus university system.

Henrickson is a Republican and a partner in the law firm of Goller, Feather & Henrickson.

On the Board of Curators she replaces Doug Russell, a fellow Republican from the Fourth Congressional District whose term expired Jan. 1.

Henrickson's appointment to a term ending Jan. 1, 2017, requires confirmation by the Missouri Senate.

Henrickson holds a bachelor's degree from Southern Methodist University and a law degree from the University of Missouri School of Law. From 1986 to 2002, she was assistant director and general counsel to the Missouri Division of Design and Construction.
