Mo. Lt. Gov. Kinder denies claims from ex-model

ST. LOUIS (AP) - Missouri Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder says he visited an adult club in the mid-1990s but denies assertions by a former Penthouse model and exotic dancer who said he made her uncomfortable during the visits.

Kinder told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch Wednesday he visited the Diamond Cabaret in the mid-1990s and returned about 10 times. Kinder says he stopped going there after deciding it was against his religious beliefs.

Tammy Chapman claims that on two occasions, Kinder was forceful during dances. Chapman says she saw Kinder again this year and that he offered to let her stay at a condo paid for by his campaign.

In an interview with radio station KMOX, Kinder said Chapman is lying about both claims.

Kinder says politics are behind the woman's story, and that he's focused on creating jobs.
