County looks for solution to Renns Lake

The Cole County Commission on Monday authorized an engineering firm to study different uses for a private lake the county assumed control over after the lake’s dam nearly collapsed in 2009.

By a vote of 2-1, the commission authorized Gredell Engineering Resources to determine costs and funding options to restore Renns Lake or to remove it.
