As individuals working to make our way in the world, we tend to acquire a skill set based upon a lifetime of experiences that helps define us as individuals and determine the course of our careers.

In the case of local veteran Dave Griffith, service in an elite part of the U.S. Army would lead to a continued life of public service.

Born in Trenton, in 1948, Griffith had a Methodist preacher for a father. His dad moved the family throughout the state on several occasions as a function of his ministry.

The family eventually laid roots in Chillicothe, where Griffith graduated in 1966.
