Chef Challenge returns to raise funds for CARDV

Once again, two Fulton chefs will use their culinary skills to compete in CARDV's Chef Challenge.

The annual fundraiser for the Coalition Against Rape and Domestic Violence will begin at 4:30 p.m. Aug. 27, at the Fulton Country Club. Jerrie Bell, CARDV director, said it was decided to bring back the challenge, based on the Food Network's "Iron Chef America' TV series, again this year after it was such a big hit the first time.

A new challenge will be added this year, as 15 local cooks will be asked to whip up appetizers for those attending. Guests can vote for their favorite appetizer with donations. This part of the fundraiser will start at 4:30 p.m., along with cocktails.

The big challenge will be between returning champion, David Ogden, chef at Bek's, and Fulton Country Club's chef, Ricky Burgess.
