JC sales tax receipts show slight increase

Jefferson City’s sales taxes reflect an increase throughout the summer, but still are more than $400,000 down for the year.
At the finance committee meeting Thursday, finance director Steve Schlueter said the one-cent sales tax is up $99,015 for July and $72,353 for August, but still is down $402,210 for the year.
