South Callaway board approves tax levy

$2.75 levy in place during last nine years

MOKANE, Mo. — For the ninth consecutive year, the South Callaway R-2 School District Board of Education agreed unanimously Wednesday night to keep the district’s tax levy at $2.75 per $100 assessed valuation.

Superintendent Mary Lynn Battles told the board the levy is set at the highest possible rate without a vote of the patrons in the district.
