Library gears up for cultural concerts

Events begin Friday

The Missouri River Regional Library’s first Cultural Concert will feature blues group Michael Terry Group on Friday.

His vocals are said to be gritty and soulful. The group, based in St. Louis, has more than 100 years of playing experience. Terry himself is a singer, songwriter and is credited with penning many of the group’s songs, though they play covers as well.

The public is encouraged to bring their lawn chairs to enjoy the 7:30 p.m. concert in Jefferson City on the Capitol’s south lawn.
