After two weeks of rehearsals, ice theater campers are ready for the show. This year's annual ice theater at Jefferson City's Washington Park Ice Arena is "Under the Big Top," a circus-themed show.

Director Brent Echols, who has been involved in the ice theater camp for three years, said 35 children ages 7 to 16 will perform Saturday and Sunday after two weeks of five-hour training sessions each day.

The ice theater features music, dancing and skating intertwined, which Echols said makes the show "the whole package." Echols said he wanted people to know the performances are not recitals and are open to the general public.

Tickets are $5 and available at the Washington Park Ice Arena admissions desk or from members of the cast. The show will be performed at 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday.
