COLUMBIA, Mo. - Jimmy Costello's plans for 2011 included a lot of things.
The backup quarterback completed his student teaching, graduated from college and was getting ready to enter the military. Football wasn't in the mix.
But when offensive coordinator David Yost asked Costello to return to the program for his fifth year of eligibility, to add depth at quarterback following Tyler Gabbert's surprise transfer in May, Costello decided to give football one more year.
