Several new faces join JC school staff

There will be several new faces in the administration of the Jefferson City Public Schools for the 2011-12 school year. 

Penney Rector is the new assistant to the superintendent for human resources and in-house counsel. She assumes many of the responsibilities of Assistant Superintendent Julia Sharpe, who retired.

Garrett Miller is the new director of technology services, replacing Debbie Hughes, who retired.

Chris Schmitz is the new principal at Thorpe Gordon Elementary School, replacing Suzy Wilson who is the new principal at Pioneer Trail Elementary.

Wilson succeeds Estella Murphy Bitson, who moved to Oklahoma.

Brandi Fatherly is the new West Elementary School principal, succeeding Marcia Heberle, who retired.

Sherri Thomas is the new Lewis and Clark Middle School principal, replacing Bob Steffes, who retired.
