KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - A suburban St. Louis man accused of participating in a sex-trafficking conspiracy must stay in jail until his case goes to trial.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch (http://bit.ly/pc7ELE ) reports that U.S. Magistrate Judge Robert Larson in Kansas City, Mo., has ruled that Bradley Cook should remain behind bars. Last month, lawyers for Cook accused federal prosecutors of using deceptive jailhouse informers and concealing information.
Larsen ruled July 28 that he had not relied on any of the information that lawyers called into question when deciding Cook should stay in jail.
Cook is among five men accused of torturing a young woman who says she was held as a sex slave in a mobile home near Lebanon, Mo. Two of the men have pleaded guilty.
