LU women sign a pair

The Lincoln women's basketball team has signed a pair of players from State Fair Community College in Sedalia.

Arriana Walker and Dahlia Booker helped the Lady Roadrunners to a 56-11 record over the past two seasons.

"We are excited to have both Arriana Walker and Dahlia Booker join our women's basketball family," Lincoln head coach Katie Vaughn said. "They have played on a very successful and well-coached State Fair basketball team for the past two years and their winning mentality is what we need to help change this program around.

"Both are very athletic and understand the game very well. Their experience combined with the experience we have returning will help us in competing in the MIAA."

Walker, a 5-6 guard from Parkway South, averaged 7 points, 2.9 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 3.2 steals. She was named the team's best defensive player.

Booker, a 5-9 forward from McCluer North, averaged 8.4 points and 5.2 rebounds.
