Apprentice, journeyman and long-time linemen from electric co-operatives around the state took part in training courses this week at the Association of Missouri Electric Cooperatives facility in Jefferson City.

Some are new at the trade and some have many years experience, but keeping updated on safety training is important for the linemen and their employers. There were 45 trainees being taught by six instructors during the 3 1/2-day session titled Overhead and Aerial Basket School.

This training is held twice a year, in spring and in the fall, at the facility located on East McCarty Street.
