A Jefferson City man was treated for moderate injuries after a one-vehicle crash Monday.
According to city police reports, the accident occurred around 1:30 p.m. in the 1000 block of U.S. 54 West. Richard Poire, 20, was driving too fast for the wet road conditions, lost control in the S-curves, struck one guardrail, then went across the road and struck another guardrail before coming to rest.
Poire was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, police reported.
