Your Opinion: Don't deny "yes' vote on Prop. B

Dear Editor:

997,870 people in Missouri voted yes for Prop. B. They didn't vote for SB113 or HB131.

The no voters were led to believe if Prop. B passed the HSUS was going to come after the entire agriculture industry in Missouri. Prop. B was only about connecting the inhumane treatment of dogs belonging to breeders in Missouri. Nothing else.

Almost 100 percent of the Missouri officials involved in fixing - gutting - Prop. B are from the districts where the no voters out numbered the yes voters.

Are 85 House members and 18 senators going to deny the vote of 997,870 people who voted yes?

Is it that easy to forget the men and women who have died to preserve our right to live in a democratic society where the will of the people should always be honored?

Dogs help law enforcement agencies, the blind, the sick, and they find lost people. They are companions of he young, old and families. They serve in the military and have been known to give their lives. What other animal does these things? There is not a dog in a breeder's care whom doesn't deserve the best of treatment and care that Prop B. can give them.

Prop. B will bring changes to the dog breeders industry. Just remember if is not unusual for improvement to come at a cost.

If Prop. B becomes law, the state of Missouri will be able to stand tall among all the states as having the courage to take this giant step in making sure dogs belonging to breeders will be better cared for in Missouri.

Written in defense of all the mistreated dogs owned by breeders in Missouri.

Note: Limiting breeders to 50 dogs. Maybe they should be allowed to have additional dogs with Missouri Department of Agriculture approval.
