Thompson to lead Jays basketball

Blair Thompson has been hired as the new head boys basketball coach of the Jefferson City Jays.

Thompson, a 1998 graduate of Jefferson City High School, has spent the past three seasons as head coach at Sullivan High School. He had a record of 52-24 at the school and also has been the head coach at Cuba High School.

Thompson replaces David Fox, who stepped down at the end of the 2010-11 season after 18 years as head coach to become the Executive Director of the Missouri Basketball Coaches Association.
