Michael Washington knows how to set the tone.
The Jefferson City Jays slugger battled through an 0-2 count by fouling off the next two pitches before driving the next pitch over the left-field wall for a two-run shot in the first inning Wednesday at Vivion Field.
After that, the Jays were able to add five more runs in the second on their way to a 7-2 win over Rolla.
The Jays (12-4) needed the win over their district opponent, as they try to gain ....
