Helias golf ties for second at invitational

NEW BLOOMFIELD, Mo. — The Helias Crusaders tied for second place Monday with a 338 in the large school division of the Helias Invitational at Meadow Lake Acres Country Club.

Rock Bridge won the event with a 9-over 297. Sullivan tied for second with the Crusaders.

Jefferson City finished eighth with a 357.

Will Echelmeier of Rock Bridge earned medalist honors with a 2-under par 70, while teammate Wilson Sundvold was one stroke off the pace with a 71.

Tucker Gehlert of Belle finished third with a 2-over par 74. Helias’ Michael Huber shot a 4-over par 76.
