Jefferson City Council to have two sessions

New mayor, officials to be sworn in Monday

Call it a preview of coming attractions.

At Friday afternoon’s brown bag meeting of the Jefferson City Council, the city had its first and only chance to see both John Landwehr and Eric Struemph acting as mayor at the same time as both prepared for the pair of city council meetings that will take place Monday night at City Hall.

The first of the Monday night meetings will give the current council an opportunity to take care of any remaining business left from the current session before members adjourn one final time and the newly elected city officials are sworn in.

But before everyone starts playing the game of governmental musical chairs, there is one particular issue that will require some debate from the current council.
