Senate sends 13 bills to House for passage

When they return to Jefferson City Monday afternoon, state lawmakers have only four weeks left in this year's session to pass a budget, congressional redistricting and any other laws they want Gov. Jay Nixon to sign.

On Thursday, the state Senate passed and sent 13 bills to the House for its consideration during the final 17 legislative days.

Almost all of the votes Thursday were unanimous.

Among the measures winning senators' approval were bills:

• Creating an income tax credit for donations made "to a qualifying developmental disability care provider."
