Avery Phillips, the 6-year-old Jefferson City girl who had a small part on "Glee" last November, is now making an appearance on Wisteria Lane.

The Concord Baptist kindergartener will have another small part portraying a younger sister on this coming Sunday's episode of "Desperate Housewives."

The show airs at 8 p.m. on ABC, which is Channel 10 on Mediacom.

Avery's parents are Jefferson City residents Dr. Victor Phillips and his wife, Traci. Avery and her mother went to Los Angeles in August to try to find parts for the local girl, whose past involvement has included YMCA gymnastics and Capitol City Cheer.

"That's what's amazing about this," Traci said. "We've only been doing this for a couple months."
