Rockets waive Carroll

DeMarre Carroll, the former Missouri Tiger, was waived Monday by the Houston Rockets.

Carroll played in a total of 12 games this season for the Rockets and the Memphis Grizzlies. He averaged 0.8 points and 0.7 rebounds in 4.2 minutes of action. He didn’t score in three minutes of action Saturday against the Clippers.

Carroll was selected with the 27th overall pick by the Grizzlies in the 2009 NBA Draft. He spent a month this season with the Dakota Wizards of the NBA-D League before being traded along with Hasheem Thabeet for Shane Battier on Feb. 24 to the Rockets.
