KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - Federal prosecutors have charged a Kansas City man in a blackmail plot that they allege involved videotaping another man unwittingly having sex with an underage girl.
Thirty-four-year-old Corey McKinley is scheduled to make a first court appearance Monday. He has been charged with producing child pornography.
The Kansas City Star reported that a 30-year-old man told police that he had sex with a girl who said she was 17.
The Star reported that when the pair met again, McKinley told the 30-year-old man about the videotape and that the girl was really 16
It's considered statutory rape in Missouri for someone 21 or older to have sex with someone younger than 17.
It wasn't immediately clear if McKinley had an attorney, and no phone number was listed for him.
