There will be new faces on both sides of the bench in the Jefferson City municipal court starting this month.
After a vote of the people Tuesday, Cotton Walker was elected to replace incumbent Marshall Wilson as the new municipal judge, while Brian Stumpe defeated Renee Godbee for the city prosecutor position.
In the municipal judge race, Walker won with only 50.32 percent of the vote - a margin of just 61 votes. Walker garnered 3,641 votes to Wilson's 3,580.
Stumpe's margin of victory in his race was slightly higher, but not a landslide by any means. He earned 51.94 percent of the vote -- winning with 3,790 votes to Godbee's 3,488 votes.
