ATV crash kills SW Missouri school principal

MARSHFIELD, Mo. (AP) - Hundreds of people are expected at the funeral of a southwest Missouri elementary school principal fatally injured in an ATV accident.

The service for 41-year-old Leasha DeCamp will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in the Marshfield High School gymnasium. DeCamp was a graduate of Marshfield schools, and her family has asked that donations be made in her memory to the district.

DeCamp was described as the beloved, energetic principal for the past three years of Marshfield's Hubbell Elementary School. Many of the 400 children had decorated her office door with colorful cards earlier this week.

DeCamp was unresponsive after Saturday's ATV crash near Fair Grove. Her family announced her death Monday.

Marshfield Superintendent Mark Mayo says DeCamp was like a second mother to every child at her school.
