Your Opinion: Sen. McCaskill's viewpoint questioned

Dear Editor:

My letter is in response to the many recent prime time network television commercials by U.S. Sen. Claire McCaskill. The commercials seem to come across as supporting and endorsing her support for less government EPA Administration rules and regulation of industries and corporations in our great state of Missouri and our great country.

The idea of less EPA control and regulation would certainly be a great thing for our industries, I couldn't agree more with that point.

More control and regulation would only hurt and make things harder for an already struggling economy, and would surely cause more industries and companies to either close down and or pass their higher costs along to the consumers.

My point is - the thing that really seems ironic to me is that Sen. McCaskill's point of view has suddenly changed so drastically since the November 2010 elections in which numerous members of her own party we're unseated. I have to ask myself, what does Sen. McCaskill really stand for? Does she actually have sincere intentions, or does she simply have a personal and political agenda to get re-elected in 2012?
