Drug case dismissed over link to charged deputy

A case investigated by a former Cole County Sheriff’s deputy, now himself indicted on drug and stealing charges, was dismissed in open court on Monday.

According to court officials, David Rodebaugh, 36, of 2911 Bess Hill Road, had been charged in Oct. 2010, with felony possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of marijuana and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

The charges came after a raid involving the MUSTANG Drug Task Force.
