Motorcyclist dies after crashing into KC cruiser

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Authorities have released the name of a motorcyclist who died after crashing into the back of a parked Kansas City police cruiser.

Police identified the man Sunday as 34-year-old Ryan J. Jordan.

The Kansas City Star reported that an officer was outside the vehicle running radar checks on the southbound shoulder of U.S. 71 when the motorcyclist struck the car early Saturday.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The police officer was not hurt.
