Blair Oaks school board candidates: Surtax, district growth key issues

Blair Oaks district voters will be asked to chose three of four candidates for a three-year school board term Tuesday.

The terms of Randy Collett, Jim Singer and Larry Spencer are up for grabs. Singer, Matt Fifer, Tim Van Ronzelen and Kenneth Weith are all running.

The four men agree that Blair Oaks is a fast growing school district and all say it is one reason they want to be a leader for the distract that is faced with fast growth and financial concerns.

Each mentioned the surtax repayment and current lawsuit facing the district because of the surtax issue as being a reason for their seeking a term.
