Six injured in collision

Five Jefferson City residents and a Eugene man were involved in a two-car accident at 12:15 p.m. Tuesday on Missouri 17, south of Cedar Knoll Drive, in Cole County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2009 Toyota Corolla, driven westbound by Laura B. Morris, 49, Jefferson City, made a left turn in front of a 2009 Ford Focus, driven northbound by Kenneth E. Parsons, 59, Eugene.
Morris was taken to Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City. A passenger, Jacob G. Gourley, was taken to St. Mary's Health Center in Jefferson City.
Three passengers in the Parsons vehicle, Holly M. Acree, 12, Cayce N. Heidberger, 12, and Kierra L. Lindsey, 12, all of Jefferson City, sought their own treatment.
The patrol reported Lindsey, Gourley, Morris and Parsons were wearing seat belts. Acree and Heiberger were not wearing seat belts.
